    Bran Butter Cookies

    The recipe for these Bran Butter Cookies is so simple you will wonder why you have never tried to made this recipe before.
    The Bran Butter cookies are simply delicious and can be served up at anytime. Makes approx. 20.

    Bran Butter Cookies
    Yields1 Serving
    Prep Time15 minsCook Time25 minsTotal Time40 mins
     1/2 cup wholemeal plain flour
     2 teaspoons baking powder
     1 teaspoon raw sugar
     1/2 cup unprocessed bran
     60 g unsalted butter
     2 tablespoons filtered water
     1/4 cup unprocessed bran -extra
    1

    Preheat oven to 190 degrees C, lightly grease & pre line baking trays.

    2

    Sift flour & baking powder into mixing bowl, then return husks from sifter back into the sifted flour & baking powder.

    Add & mix sugar and bran, then rub in butter.

    Add enough water to bind all together the ingredients.

    Lightly flour your work bench or board, and knead the dough on floured surface until smooth.

    Sprinkle top with extra bran, then roll out to a thin cookie or cracker like thickness

    Using your round cookie cutter or scalloped edge round cutter to shape and place 1cm apart on prepared baking tray.

    Baking for 10 – 15 mins, or until golden brown.

    Allow to cool on trays, on cooling rack. Serve.
